Open to current and former students
By the students, for the students
What the Oud Club is
Taqasim Oud Club is a project that falls under the umbrella of Taqasim Music School. It is formed by the students, for the students, and is led by the students of the school with the help of its teachers.
The aims of the club are to create an informal setting where former and current students can meet to enjoy playing the oud and learn from one another. It is a space where students of all levels are encouraged to reach their full potential.
The club runs monthly practice sessions and is a hub for discussion and dialogue between musical cultures. The oud and the maqam system are preserved beyond the classroom.
